"On Defying Some Traditional Mother's Day Celebration..."

So, I opted to go to a restaurant with the family after the first church service. My son came to church with me. That's an intangible gift to my heart having him seated next to me but probably revolting inside for he doesn't subscribe my faith. Agnostic as he calls himself but there's bigger than atheism. That is: God, still is the working miracle, healing God. If we keep praying and continue to love our children by instilling to them the knowledge of the truth of His Word, prodigals or not, they will  always find their way back home--with the Grace of God.

After the service, we went grocery shopping. He has his own basket and I have my own cart. The produce section was looking good. There was a big table full of Afulfo mangoes and their organic bananas were just right for my taste. I probably spend $20-25 for fruits alone.
Josh is eating healthier theses days, too. He likes to watch his fresh fruits and veggies being grinded and whirled by a high-speed mixing appliance to puree.
That was a Mother's day filled with smart buying opportunities--especially when it's validated at the end of your receipt that you saved $25 with their discounted items & coupons. I tell you, my source of joy these days is pretty simple: no more fantasies, dreamy whims just love, laugh & write.

And the coolest thing that happened today is that I watched a Netflix movie called "The Prize Winner of Defiance" starring Julianne Moore & Woody Harrelson. A real treat for my day, I may say... Just when I thought it was over, Josh asked me to come walk with him to this new park that he just found out. For him to make that intention to shed off some pounds is for me a defining moment. He never walked a mile and a half in his life. It was really good. With that quality time spent with my son,
My heart was content. I did 4 miles. Still going strong. For this, thank God for His amazing grace--working behind the scenes.
