Found this snapshot as I was scrolling down Google plus posts. Many beautiful and endearing posts but when I saw this image of dogs with their respective bowls gripped in their mouths as they're lined up waiting for their food to be given, I have to say that this sense of optimal order & obedience is a joy to inhale...
With the incessant chaos & confusion of trends in this world today, I have to admit this has made me more blessed for having two Labradors. As one commented to this post that these dogs have more sense of discipline and its virtue compared to some of us that are out of control and with ill- mannered outbursts.
Kudos to this dog trainer, too. He's doing an exemplary job at heart.
Thanks to the one who shared this captivating image in Google plus this morning.
Come & Think About It... It's no wonder that this Christian band has garnered three awards which are; Artist Of TheYear, Best Live Show & Group/Duo Of The Year at the 3rd annual K-Love Fan Award last Sunday at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. And I've seen them performed--"up close & personal..." about four years ago right here in Central Texas. After that great live performance, I had a greater understanding about worshipping and giving your highest praise to the One that showed us His grace is more than enough to heal all kinds of brokenness. ALL.
Psalm 121 King James Version (KJV)
121 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.
6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
7 The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
8 TheLordshall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
One -man powerful performance: all he needed to have was an acoustic guitar, a microphone and his soulful instrument--his voice. But most of all I knew he was singing his best praise to the One who gave him more than his dreams... I've seen the music video but I truly prefer this-- honest, passionate and compelling. "Music is one medium of best translation and expression of life."
So, I opted to go to a restaurant with the family after the first church service. My son came to church with me. That's an intangible gift to my heart having him seated next to me but probably revolting inside for he doesn't subscribe my faith. Agnostic as he calls himself but there's bigger than atheism. That is: God, still is the working miracle, healing God. If we keep praying and continue to love our children by instilling to them the knowledge of the truth of His Word, prodigals or not, they will always find their way back home--with the Grace of God. After the service, we went grocery shopping. He has his own basket and I have my own cart. The produce section was looking good. There was a big table full of Afulfo mangoes and their organic bananas were just right for my taste. I probably spend $20-25 for fruits alone. Josh is eating healthier theses days, too. He likes to watch his fresh fruits and veggies being grinded and whirled by a high-speed mixing appliance to puree. That was a Mother's day filled with smart buying opportunities--especially when it's validated at the end of your receipt that you saved $25 with their discounted items & coupons. I tell you, my source of joy these days is pretty simple: no more fantasies, dreamy whims just love, laugh & write. And the coolest thing that happened today is that I watched a Netflix movie called "The Prize Winner of Defiance" starring Julianne Moore & Woody Harrelson. A real treat for my day, I may say... Just when I thought it was over, Josh asked me to come walk with him to this new park that he just found out. For him to make that intention to shed off some pounds is for me a defining moment. He never walked a mile and a half in his life. It was really good. With that quality time spent with my son, My heart was content. I did 4 miles. Still going strong. For this, thank God for His amazing grace--working behind the scenes.
You know what Passion & Unity encompasses whenever Pacquiao is in the boxing ring. Everything stops; every miniscule of the event is a threshold in our hearts. We are like moving with him every step of the way.
We never see him as a defeated of anything...But instead, a victor of humanity. Last night"s screams were the sound of magnanimity forPacquiao's heart for the Sport. He will never have any tinge of regret for his punches are still as powerful as it is in the core of our beings...
You are a true champ brother Manny...God has bigger things in store for you. You made your mark as a hero in our lives. You are truly an inspiration!
I took a snapshot of this little creature. Didn't show any commotion until my presence felt like an invasion of personal space. It is fun for me to notice every living thing that catches my eye especially on a Saturday morning walk at the park. This image is a Spring capture. I kind of overworked my joints after 2.5 miles of walking/jogging.I miss that body strength/energy I used to have. But I have no regrets. I had a long good run for the outdoors and will continue until my limbs are too weak to move. It never ceases to amaze me how wonderful to be a part of Nature's gift: how you choose to utilize your time in whatever stage you are in life and who you decide to spend and share it comes with a great prize. Wisdom. And I chose to spend it with myself communing with His presence.
So I went to a three-day women's church conference this weekend. A very good friend of mine registered me with her to this big event. I can only speak for myself that I came expecting for the messenger's message to be powerful, illuminating & anointing. And so it was! For one I believe that women are extraordinary charged with good instincts especially maternal instincts. I call that the 6th sense although we know only of 5 natural senses. Just imagine all women of faith in one place expressing their praise & worship to God through songs that connect them to the holy of holies; rhythmic movements that make them dance so freely and hearts and souls intertwined because of their love for God! I really felt such an incredible anointing of the Holy Spirit moving through the Worship team, to the guest speakers' preaching of the Word and to all of us women that came to receive The Word. We've learned that we need to disconnect ourselves from dimmer devices--those ones that take our time away from the Lord such as our strong participation with Facebook, Twitter, You tube and many more. And that we need God's perspective in All things. What are we feeding our soul? We also learned that God's dream seed on us will never die no matter how long it stayed dormant. For some it could take just a few years for their dreams to be realized while some others could take forever until such a time that it's yours to take on His perfect timing. Still some of us went ahead and just consumed with the "why's & the how's" of that fulfillment of that dream. And in doing so, we've missed out the process of how God works... However, God is the God of second chances, many chances. But should you be volatile and keep playing till you realized you've just run out of time!
